Westrac Ltd Battery Warranty Policy for Purchases made before September 1st, 2021

Westrac warrants only to you, the original purchaser, for a period of twenty four (24) months as from date of purchase that the battery is free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service conditions and in terms of correct application.

Westrac undertakes in its sole discretion to repair or replace a returned battery that after a twenty-four (24) hour analysis has been verified to have failed due to a defect in materials and/or workmanship under normal use and service after proper installation, subject to the conditions and exclusions described below.  Return the battery along with your original sales receipt or satisfactory proof of purchase to any Westrac Branch or duly authorized agent.  A test of your charging system may be required and allow up to two business days to process warranty.

Westrac and its duly authorized agents shall not be held liable for any damages, losses, injury, expenses or costs which would be considered as direct, indirect, incidental or consequential,  which may arise or relate to the use or inability to use this battery or any failure whatsoever to meet this warranty.

This limited warranty is valid for two (2) years from the date of purchase with a free replacement period.  The Free Replacement Period begins the day of purchase and expires twelve (12) months after date printed on the sales receipt.  Should the battery fail, within the Free Replacement period, due to a defect in materials and/or workmanship, it will be replaced with the same model battery free of charge.  If the same model battery is not available, it will be replaced with a like kind and quality battery. Warranty will NOT apply to the replacement battery.

If the battery fails after the Free Replacement Period and prior to the end of the warranty period, due to a defect in material and/or workmanship, the warranty benefit will be prorated and will be credited toward the purchase of a new battery. The proration amount shall be determined by dividing the purchase price by the number of months of the warranty period, then multiplying the result by the months remaining in the warranty period.  The replacement battery will not be warranted for a new/separate period of twenty four (24) months as from the date of purchase.
